We are seeking a skilled and strategic Principal People Business Partner (Principal HRBP) to join our global People Business Partner organization, focusing on the USA and Canada region and supporting GTM business. This is a vital role that offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the business. The ideal PBP will contribute both at hands-on and strategic levels to create an exceptional experience for all employees and leaders at Meltwater.
The focus will be on developing a People Strategy that centers on scalability, proactive and advisory services, and aligns with the business objectives of the regions. The person in this role should be an exceptional HR Business Partner with robust interpersonal skills, keen business acumen, and a deep understanding of various HR functions. These include employee relations, employment law, organizational development, change management, training, and talent and performance management. Experience in areas such as benefits, compensation, staffing, and recruiting is also crucial as this role will play a central and senior role in the PBP function and wider People Team overall.
The Principal People Business Partner will report directly to the Sr Director, Global People Business Partners, located in Washington DC. The key to success in this position is quickly establishing credibility by delivering excellent HR services and strategies, building strong partnerships, and maintaining alignment with the company culture and values of Moro, Enere, Respect, and MER.

What You'll Do:

  • Represent Meltwater with professionalism and integrity, both internally and externally.

  • Collaborate with business leaders across GTM business and drive an effective people strategy and ensure the implementation of innovative HR solutions.

  • Work as an active colleague and partner ensuring smooth handling of employee matters and projects as well as the rollout of new employee programs.

  • Drive regional talent process and frameworks on a local level, coach managers to improve their understanding and adoption of the talent frameworks, proactively identify improvement areas and consult management on this front

  • Implement regional strategies and drive a range of people related local initiatives such as Wellness, DEI, CSR, Engagement, Hybrid Work, etc.

  • Drive performance within the business group in crucial metrics such as engagement, reviews, mobility, and retention.

  • Consult closely with Legal, Finance, and other internal teams to support the business needs.

  • Support employee relations matters by collaborating with managers to handle employee disputes, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

  • Facilitate effective communication on all HR matters and coordinate the flow of information and feedback as appropriate.


What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of HR Business Partner experience, ideally in high-tech sectors and focusing on supporting sales.

  • Hands-on experience with HRIS, preferably Workday.

  • Ability to run reports, working knowledge on excel, Google sheets. Ability to analyze and interpret people metrics.

  • Genuine interest in the Meltwater business, able to articulate its value proposition to various stakeholders.

  • Passion for working closely with sales organizations, with an understanding of sales language, compensation plans, techniques, and methodologies.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a global company, demonstrate agility in a fast-moving environment, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
