Summary of Primary Functions:

Improve Tindall's financial growth by increasing market share in strategic markets segments.

Supervision Received:

Independent; Reports to CEO, President, or Sr. VP

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 1-5 employees

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

  • Proactively create business development strategies for the entire corporation and implement actions to achieve them with the result of developing the necessary pipeline of new business.

  • Generate high level relationships from which business leads that drive revenue and profit growth can be generated and/or exploited.

  • Strategically manage market verticals and relationships while coordinating efforts with sales and marketing.

  • Identify and pursue, as well as be the bridge between achieving new business, with the cooperation of division sales and corporate business development objectives.

  • Identify continuing education needs and coordinate the development of education with marketing and the delivery with sales to the target external client. This includes but is not limited to Owners, Developers, Architects, Engineers, and General Contractors.

  • Identify target trade shows, organizations, and similar for Tindall engagement on an annual basis. Coordinate with Marketing and division VP/GM's to create and own the annual budget, action plans, and deliverables to achieve increased market share as directed.

  • Closely collaborate with division VP/GM and division sales to accomplish the objectives.

  • Ensure visibility into the CRM sales pipeline to monitor business development objectives and subsequent impact to the actual sales pipeline for the Company.

  • Coordinate all efforts with Marketing to ensure alignment and efficient use of resources.

  • Manage external market intelligence to positively impact strategy, and therefore sales growth: a) Must have awareness of Tindall's current market share by location and market vertical. b) Analyze future market forecasts to help guide growing and shrinking markets, to develop strategies to grow the business appropriately. c) Be able to suggest and point to new product and system solution opportunities that then influence Product and System Development resources.

  • Prepare a written quarterly report on activities, progress, and accomplishments to be sent Senior Leadership, including strategy, budget, market, opportunities, etc. Communicate strategy to Senior Leadership to obtain buy0in and appropriate resource allocation to accomplish the main objective.

Job Specifications or Qualifications

Education: Preferred Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University - Engineering/Technical degree preferred;

Experience: 10+ years prior or related experience in sales/business development is required. Experience in a manufacturing environment - Precast concrete or similar manufacturing operation - with direct experience in departmental management is required.

Supervisory Experience: 3 to 5 years required
