We have a contract opportunity for an Analytical Technician in Kennesaw Georgia. This position is initially approved for 6 months and could be extended. The client is a leading Agricultural Nutrition company.

Pay Rate:$20.00/Hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5 PM 1 hour lunch.

Summary:
The Analytical Technician will work, under supervision of the Senior Research Scientist, on various short- and long-term projects. The incumbent is responsible for the testing customer implementations of microorganisms and preparation. Participate with internal and customer driven research projects. Candidate will maintain accurate and timely record of test results; perform standard and complex laboratory procedures; work with various departments to compile, analyze, and interpret data.

Job Description:

  • Contribute to project from inception to completion / revenue generation.
  • Perform a variety of laboratory techniques and/or protocols for Analytical Chemistry/Quality Control/Quality Assurance
  • Comply with SOPs, batch records, and controlled documentations.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP regulations, guidelines, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with R&D, QC, Clinical departments to compile, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Maintain familiarity with current scientific literature and contribute to the process of
  • intra/interdepartmental projects
  • Regular Local travel (between sites)

Education: Degree not required but some college experience in Biology or Microbiology is needed, prior experience not required. Ig currently enrolled and looking for part time work could be considered.

Requirements:
* Possess Valid US Driver's License for travel from one building to another at the same campus.
* Previous laboratory experience
* Basic laboratory skills (e.g., pipetting, weighing, dilutions, etc.)
* Proficient in MS office, excel, and power point.
* Attention to detail to produce accurate and reproducible data to support scientific investigations.
* Design, collect, and write publishable work
* Work collaboratively with various departments to compile, analyze, and interpret data.
* Basic laboratory skills (e.g., pipetting, weighing, dilutions, etc.)
* Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint

A plus but not necessary:
* Quality Control and knowledge of cGMP
* Independent research projects
* Experience with any of the following: PCR, Real-Time PCR, Microbial plating, ELISA, SDS-Page.
