OverviewDo you have experience workin in critical environments? Do you have experience with industrial design drawings? As a Technical Program Manager II, Hierarchy Engineering, you will help support the operations through translating engineering designs for data centers and digitize them for consumption. The Datacenter Critical Environments Systems Intelligence (CESI) team is responsible for transforming Microsoft's global datacenter Critical Environment operations through deep telemetry, data analytics and integrative automation. Working in lock-step with Microsoft's cloud service development and operations teams, CESI powers telemetry service management and IoT architectures that contemplate end to end Cloud availability and sustainability. ResponsibilitiesAs the Technical Program Manager II for Hierarchy Engineering, you will be accountable for delivering on a high-scale, technically-advanced program that translates engineering designs for data centers and digitizes them for consumption across a wide range of internal systems, tools, and technologies. Hierarchy represents the core data set that describes a data center so that other digital consumers have the context, awareness, and detail about our facilities needed to ensure flawless operation for our customers, whether internal or externa. You will work effectively across teams to capture Microsoft's global fleet of data centers in to digital hierarchy, define and enhance hierarchy standards, and support continuous improvement efforts for data quality and design quality. You'll work with teams that design, develop, and instrument both Microsoft's own fleet of built data centers as well as those leased by Microsoft. A successful candidate will possess a skillset that includes technical depth in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, a working knowledge of industrial-level electrical engineering and componentry, and the ability to read and interpret One-Line Diagrams or Single-Line Diagrams. The candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office software and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with at least some practical project management or program management experience.
