The Project Analyst, Special Initiatives within the International Merchant Acquiring & Vertical Markets Technology team will be responsible for the effective delivery of strategic activities so the related initiatives are completed on time, with quality, and within budget. They will be responsible for designing, communicating, and implementing project plans and acting as a facilitator and liaison with multiple teams across the business.

This role was created to advance key priorities through the delivery of assigned project activities within scope and on time. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who aspires to a career in Strategy, Program Management, Organizational Leadership, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline.

Special Initiative Delivery

  • Ensure timely delivery of assigned project activities, with high quality documentation and planning throughout

  • Gather, analyze and organize signoff for business requirements or user stories

  • Document and manage deliverables for all stages of the project or change, including use cases, processes, schedules, RAID log

  • Coordinate team meetings and ensure inputs, decision and outputs are achieved

  • Manages project plans in which the solution or product, for the most part, exists but there is a need for a simple to moderately complex modification to meet the business requirement

  • Manages and monitors time, scope and cost for the project based on the identified requirements. Identifies issues and may need some guidance with anticipating issues that need escalation; points of escalation are within the leadership team or with more experienced Project Managers

  • Collaborates, negotiates, and manages issues to resolution. Conducts conflict management with internal and/or external stakeholders as requirements are identified, delivery issues arise, and scope changes are requested, etc.

  • Gathers project sizing information from appropriate teams, and ensures all projects are properly and accurately estimated and timely billed

  • Monitors and tracks to the budget; looks for opportunities to increase project revenue through the provision of value added services (e.g., consultancy, test support, etc.) and to lower the cost of delivery to optimize the project team's productivity

  • Makes decisions within established processes, methodologies, etc.; with some oversight, makes recommendations outside of established guidelines

  • Collaborates with internal areas, such as Legal, Procurement, and Finance, as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in Google Workspace tools, including Slides and Sheets. Expertise in analysis techniques and requirements engineering.

  • Quality Orientation: Strong attention to detail and committed to high quality outputs. Outstanding analytical approach. Good problem solving skills.

  • Planning & Delivery: Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Comms & Rel Mgmt: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Company, Industry, Product Expertise: Understanding of our product set and technology. Knowledge of payments industry and ecommerce.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
