Job Description
Maintenance Mechanic
Pay: $26.00-29.00
Location: Atlanta, GA - multiple site position
Shift: 8am to 5pm
The Maintenance Mechanic supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws. Comply with all safety procedures.
* Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
* Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
* Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate a high level of customer service
* General interior and exterior building maintenance
* Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
* Assist operations team in maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
* Perform minor plumbing, electrical, painting, pressure washing, carpentry, hanging items, door/door hardware repairs and any other required general maintenance tasks.
* Clean and maintain roof and roof drains
* Move furniture, equipment, and other materials, as requested
* Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts; report on as-found conditions.
* Maintain good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards; pro pose methods to eliminate them.
* Ability to respond to on-call issues before and after normal business hours, weekends and holidays
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* Completion of an applicable technical training program, desirable.
* Minimum of one year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry work
* Knowledge of basic HVAC systems maintenance is desired, but not a requirement for this role.
* Familiarity with Corrigo CMMS system is desired
* Minimum Level One Qualified Electrical Worker Certification will be required
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
* Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Excellent communication skills in English - both oral and written.
* Basic computer skills are required
* Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures.
PHYSICAL WORK ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
* This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:
* Lifting a minimum of 80 lbs.
* Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights.
