Job Description

The Manager, Workday Financials Consulting Services (Supply Chain Management) is a "go to" practice leader that provides expert guidance, advice, and development support to the Workday Financials practice and their subsequent team members. This individual will assist the sales team with sales activities such as orals, estimations, and Statements of Work (SOW's). This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads, and acts as a liaison between the Financials Consulting team and executive management. This person will assist in identifying business needs, staffing projects, and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Workday Financial deployments in an architect capacity and as a lead consultant for separate functional areas across deployments
  • Lead and mentor Senior Principal Consultants and below, helping them to develop their functional and consulting skills, and work with them to support their career progression and development
  • Develop, manage and retain a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday Financials
  • Promote a team-oriented, challenging and innovative work environment
  • Grow "lead ready" consultants, offering mentoring, constructive feedback, and support on one or more customer engagements
  • Work closely with Engagement Managers and team members to identify project needs and develop solutions and strategies
  • Drive the practice to achieve high customer satisfaction levels
  • Proactively manage team members' and practice members' schedules to ensure they are properly utilized, for both billable work and internal projects when not billable
  • Lead large internal initiatives that touch multiple parts of the company, generally associated with team operations and/or personnel
  • Lead sales efforts and business development pursuits on behalf of the practice
  • Assist Senior Manager/Director and Resource Manager in providing guidance to staffing projects
  • Work with the Senior Manager/Director and team members to monitor staffing utilization and forecast accuracy
  • Assist Director and Resource Manager in monitoring forecasting opportunities on upcoming engagements

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Possess 3-5 years of Workday (or other ERP) Consulting implementation experience
  • Experience in deploying Supply Chain Management a plus.
  • Ability to lead Workday Financial deployments in an architect and lead consultant capacity
  • Ability to walk a customer through functional and cross-functional impacts of design relating to FDM, integrations, HCM, or Payroll.
  • Ability to discuss various accounting entries/processes within Workday Financials
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a project team from an overall project standpoint to ensure adherence to FDM, design decisions, project governance/methodology and statement of work
  • Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments
  • Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished.
  • Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects.
  • Demonstrated initiative and experience leading/mentoring others
  • Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel if needed
