Position Purpose:
Responsible for working with customers to schedule all incoming truck and railroad shipments of waste. Track and provide feedback to customers regarding all new waste profile opportunities. Work with the customers to resolve all discrepancies, secure surcharges, and track this information for billing purposes. Resolve all other Customer Service inquiries.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Schedule all incoming shipments of waste via email or telephone while coordinating with the landfill, operations, and receiving groups.
  • Maintain plant-wide receiving operations schedule.
  • Work with the customers to ensure all pricing and necessary paperwork are in place before scheduled delivery.
  • Maintain internal system discrepancy queue by working with the customers to resolve all waste discrepancies. Update the paperwork and internal systems as needed.
  • Obtain approval from the customers for all discrepancy surcharges and fees. Track and provide this information to the billing department.
  • Receive, organize, and track all new and existing waste opportunities.
  • Work closely with the approvals department to provide feedback to the customers on all new and existing waste profile approvals.
  • Receive and resolve all other customer service inquiries.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
  • Associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Prior work experience of 1 to 3 years in the hazardous waste or related industry preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Customer-first attitude
