Job Description

Due to continued growth, our Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Electrical Engineer in our Overland Park, KS office. This position can be Full Time, PT or LTLB and be remote for the right individual

Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):

  • Coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines
  • Directs and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintains quality standards of all assigned projects
  • Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and calculations prepared by other engineers or subcontractors
  • Prepares design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates
  • Manages budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight
  • Prepares electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and can evaluate technical bids and select equipment
  • Devises new approaches to technical problems.
  • Broad knowledge of precedents in the industry

Required Qualifications/ skills:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 4+ years' experience
  • Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and is able to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines
  • Experience in electrical codes, standards and criteria
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Good writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
  • Must be able to traverse stairs and ladders at client sites
  • Must be able to traverse client sites to conduct walkabouts
  • Must be able to work outside at client sites in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs

Employment requirement:

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client procedures

Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship
