Job Description
Area Plant Office Administrator (1700000U)

Reporting to the Supervisor, Plant Admin Support duties will include weighing customer vehicles, administering customer transactions, and other general clerical duties. Must have good interpersonal skills, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and be flexible and motivated.

The Incumbent must be able to perform the following essential functions, with or without accommodations:

Basic Responsibilities
Area Plant Office Administrator performs the same assigned tasks as a Plant Office Administrator; yet he/she assumes an additional responsibility by performing those tasks at multiple facilities when coverage is provided during clerical absences (vacations, sickness, etc).
The Area Plant Office Administrator assists with the "plant audits" that are completed under the guidance of their supervisor.
Area Plant Office Administrator, like Plant Office Administrators, is responsible for a variety of activities at the plant level. These responsibilities require interaction with operations, sales, finance and human resources.


Key Responsibilities

SALES:
Receives customer orders; when necessary, quotes product and/or delivery prices from established price list; and, as needed, dispatch trucks to deliver ordered products.
2. Documents customer sales transactions by entering pertinent billing
information into plant's ticketing system.
Prepare necessary sales reports to document cash sale/credit card transactions.


OPERATIONS:
Prepares appropriate operating and inventory reports on daily basis and other reports that are required by the plant manager and/or region management to manage the facility.

HUMAN RESOURCES:
Enters approved adjustments in the time management system to ensure that hours worked are properly coded and ready for plant manager's review.
Assists with completion of various administration forms, such as forms that are required to hire an applicant.
Timely notifies the plant manager of blasting, pollution, spillage and noise complaints.

PROCUREMENT:
Prepares appropriate purchasing reports to document petty cash, credit card and purchase order transactions.

ASSETS:
Assists the plant manager on maintaining control over company assets and entering maintenance data in the equipment management system.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Responsible for miscellaneous administrative duties, such answering the telephone, greeting visitors, cleaning the office.


Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills Required

Education:

-High School diploma required

-B.S. Degree or equivalent experience in accounting related activities preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of three (3) - five (5) years office experience in bookkeeping or accounting is required. Construction industry experience is preferred.

Other Requirements:

This individual will be required to drive between locations within the area of responsibility on a daily basis. This position may involve exposure to dust, dirt and noise. This position will require significant driving. Other duties may be assigned as required. Must have good interpersonal skills and be flexible and motivated.
