Advisory Services seeks a self-motivated InfoSec intern with a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. The intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior members on the Advisory team.
Responsibilites:
Review and contribute to the design of security requirements, best practices and controls to cover key information technology applications, infrastructure and capabilities, including: identity & access management; endpoint and server protection, network security, database security, mobile device security, data protection, Cloud security and threat analysis.
As directed, partner with all areas of the Information Security team to maintain security standards, best practices, and provide security education across the enterprise, acting as a concierge through the model of Advisory Services.
Contribute to the information security knowledge base by maintaining records of collaboration and review exercises, recommendations, findings and other observations as well as lessons learned during consulting activities.
Contribute to information security policies and standards, procedures and other documentation as needed to improve information security capabilities.
Contribute ideas to the overall strategy for improvement of processes.
Assist with documentation and process flow diagram updates.
Assist with roadmap updates
Assist with project tracking and automation efforts
Other Duties:
Contribute to the evolution of security assessment documentation, process, and procedure.
Take on special projects as required.
Mentor junior members of the team as necessary to support their growth and development.
Able to work independently or collaboratively with equal effectiveness.
Able to find creative solutions to novel problems to enable the business to operate in an effective and agile manner.
Willing to learn all aspects of the business as required to provide superior input for business critical projects.
Minimum Requirements:
Pursuing Bachelor Degree - Information systems or computer science
Knowledge of identifying threats, security requirements as well as security controls.
Demonstrated leadership experience in collaborating with teams and presenting to technical teams as well as executive leadership.
Practical knowledge and experience of security fundamentals and practices
