The primary objective of the pathologist is to support cardiac tissue donation by providing a detailed report of pathologic findings on residual donor heart tissue. The cardiac pathology report provides critical data required by the medical examiner performing an autopsy on the heart valve donor.
MD or DO degree with successful completion of a post-graduate training program in anatomic pathology
Experience in cardiovascular pathology, autopsy pathology, and/or forensic pathology is desired
Must maintain an active license to practice medicine in the state of Georgia
