Coffman Engineers is seeking a self-motivated, technically minded Design Engineerwho is competent in Civil 3D and CAD and has experience implementing Civil Engineering design packages through Design Development and Construction Drawings. This engineer should have the ability to think independently, manage assignments and assist with the delivery of drawing packages. This engineer will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, where you may be responsible for multiple parallel assignments. • Knowledge of Hydro CAD, Storm CAD and SWWM (or similar) stormwater modeling programs.
• Working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, Google Apps.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design activities including stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, roadway drainage, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, utility coordination, site design and environmental permitting.
• Assist with the development of preliminary to final design calculations and drawings.
• Review field information and perform field inspections of existing stormwater facilities.
• Perform technical writing for design reports and permitting applications.
• Utilize AutoCAD and a variety of Civil Engineering design software applications.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
• 2 - 5 years of applicable industry experience.
• Experience with Site Grading, Earthwork Calculations, Road Design, Drainage (Calculations & Reports), Utility Layout & Sizing, Technical Report Writing.
• Construction Documentation experience on Commercial, Institutional, and Residential projects
• Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.
• LEED Green Associate Certification preferred.
