Due to continued growth, our Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Senior Programs Engineer to join the ENERCON Team in our Fort Worth, TX office. This role can be PT, FT or LTLB.

Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):

  • Provide regulatory expertise to develop and review documents for submittal and/or presentation to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), other regulatory agencies or clients, with accountability for accuracy and completeness of these documents.
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analysis in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs.
  • Monitor changing regulatory trends and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, guidelines, practices, and industry standards of the nuclear industry.
  • Provide input to project/program work schedule regarding the duration/scope of regulatory issues and the time/scope/effort involved in resolving them in order to implement projects.
  • Support/review studies, conceptual design and plant modification packages for impact on licensing basis, and 50.59 screening/safety evaluations.
  • Develop relationships with current and potential clients staff with regular interface to ensure client satisfaction as well as pro-active identification of support opportunities.

Required Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Engineering with advanced knowledge of the nuclear industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Plant Programs work.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulations, regulatory agencies, and the regulatory processes supporting design and licensing of nuclear plants including the documentation that supports these processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated competencies in technical writing, facilitation, and decision-making.
  • Must be able to work productively with other staff, at all levels, in a team environment.
  • Technical proficiency in understanding general engineering, design, and the nuclear industry.
  • Required to travel roughly 15-25% of the time; duration of travel length varying depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:

  • EQ experience highly desired.
  • Knowledge and understanding of nuclear power plant design and operations a plus.
  • Site coordination of implementation of license renewal commitments and aging management programs.

Employment requirement:

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings; ENERCON and client specific background checks; and an annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies.
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites.

Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
