The Role

The Senior Azure Cloud Engineer is highly skilled with expertknowledge in all aspects of the Azure platform. As a team member, will work collaboratively to support, improve and architect Azure Solutions with focus on the design and integration of various systems, application servers, databases, and third-party services.

EssentialDutiesand Responsibilities:

• Experience in architecting, designing, deploying, and managing solutions in Azure with strong hands-on technical skills.
• Analyzes customer requirements and provides highly innovative technical expertise on cloud computing techniques, technologies, and related cloud architectures.
• Create a strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise environment in Azure
• Serve as point person for gathering Application profiles and information. Provides expert knowledge for the research, evaluation, and deployment of advanced cloud computing systems
• Provides expert knowledge for the development of highly complex data technologies, algorithms, and applications
• Utilize native Azure services to meet the firm's technology and resiliency requirements
• Maintains current and advanced knowledge of progressive and advancing technology as assigned
• Provides expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced cloud development personnel
• May serve as a task or project leader. May consult with executives and customers to deliver complex cloud development solutions
• Infrastructure automation and DevOps practices in Azure
• Should have working knowledge of Azure Migrate (tool to be used) and familiar with app assessment methodology and categorization into Waves.
• Assess and rank applications for migration and ability to quickly detect migration anti-patterns
• Migrate applications and ensure the Azure environment is correctly configured from a security and least privileged access standpoint to run the apps securely.
• Design and implement data protection options, including HA and BCP protection in Azure

Your Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Math or Engineering)
• 5+ years of experience ideating, architecting, consulting, designing, developing, leading, and delivering Cloud infrastructure and cloud application platform technology solutions over the entire lifecycle of large scale, multi-team, complex enterprise projects
• 3+ years' experience installing, configuring, automating, and monitoring cloud services in Azure
• 10+ years of experience managing large scale, production Windows environments
• Hands on experience using the Azure administration portal
• Demonstrable experience deploying enterprise workloads to Azure
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise core services as well as cloud deployments of these services
• Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Enterprise software products and services

Preferred:

• Microsoft Azure Certification (MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or equivalent)
• Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning experience
