What you will be doing...
As part of the Aerospace Electronics division, the Staff Systems Engineer will be responsible for support of system development, leadership support, collaboration, and process improvement. This position works under a low level of supervision and performs a high level of independent work while accountable to exemplify a system thinking culture. This position has a high level of industry knowledge and customer interaction relevant technical exchanges. This position will utilize interpersonal skills and technical judgment to balance the demands and risks of the system and stakeholder expectations. This position also supports design negotiations across business units and influences technical direction with stakeholders.

  • Leads system and subsystem technical scope definition including System Design, Implementation, Validation and Verification, and Risk Management
  • System/sub-system Interface Management - Defines key interfaces between the systems and components and resolves conflicts between these interfaces
  • Enterprise Integration - Works with customers and across the organization define the architecture, plan the implementation, and execute withing cost and schedule expectations
  • Technical Analysis - Performs the necessary Trade studies, Modeling and Simulation, System Performance Analysis
  • Adheres to and enforces strict design principles and processes

What We Are Looking For...

  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical/Science or International equivalent required
  • Greater than 8 years of relevant experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree required
  • Working knowledge of high design standards in the aerospace industry or equivalent
  • Skilled in the application of design tools and methodology such as DOORS, Agile framework, solid knowledge of Engineering quality systems to perform design implementation, Engineering changes, and configuration management
  • Design of complex electronic systems and sub-systems
