About the Department
The Department of Management is excited about implementing a new strategic plan that calls for creating differentiation by promoting empirical and field research in partnership with industry. The department is composed of outstanding and collegial faculty whose research and teaching interests represent different facets of management including Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, and Business Analytics.

Our faculty members are enthusiastically engaged in research and regularly publish in the top journals in their disciplines, hold leadership positions in professional associations, and serve on the editorial boards of top journals. They also engage with colleagues in other units of the Robinson College of Business, GSU, and neighboring and international universities in a variety of professional activities.
Position Description
The Robinson College of Business (RCB) of Georgia State University (GSU) invites applications for a joint appointment in the Department of Management and the Career Advancement Center as an Executive-in-Residence (EiR). This position will have dual reporting lines to the Chair of the Management Department and Associate Dean for Strategic Partnerships and Career Advancement.

In addition to teaching management courses, the EiR will engage with many outreach initiatives.

Direct responsibilities include:
Teaching: teaching several core courses such as MGT 3400: Managing People in Organizations, BUSA 4980: Strategic Management, and MBA 8165: Leadership & Organizational Behavior.
Outreach: establishing new relationships and strengthening existing ones between RCB, the Management Department, and the greater business community. The external outreach will occur in collaboration with Robinson’s Strategic Partnerships, Immersive Programs & Career Advancement functions and work closely with Robinson’s Office of Development.
Required Experience
At least five years of teaching experience.
Required Education
Master’s Degree in business or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
The successful candidate will have well-documented evidence of success as a business leader, significant leadership experience in business, innovative approaches to classroom instruction, and a strong commitment to developing student and company relations, engaging with students outside the classroom and with partners from the industry.
