The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Cost Control Analyst IV to be responsible for gathering, organizing, maintaining, and reporting financial information to ensure that Management can make informed spend decisions within budgetary constraints. The position will also manage detailed monitoring and analysis of budgets, actuals, and forecasts. Provides timely support for purchase requests, contract renewals, and the purchase order and accounts payable processes as required.

    This position is fully-remote. That means we are open to talent across the country and the person in this position will be able to continue working remotely even after we transition back into our physical office locations.
What You Can Look Forward to
  • Budgets, Forecasts, and reports costs required to support the operations of the ET&S organization.
  • Identifies financial risks and opportunities for the organization.
  • Develops and enforces processes to communicate, review and approve purchases impacting ET&S budgets.
  • Plans and coordinates cross-functional meetings to discuss and review financial requests and obligations of ET&S.
  • Develops and reports financial variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and financial commitment /contract renewal information.
  • Reviews costs incurred by category and department, estimates future costs based on price and volume variances, and projected price increases. Evaluates reasonableness of proposed purchases based on previous or similar purchases.
  • Solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices in financial and project controls.
  • Uses experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management. Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • 8+ years related experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to create pivot tables mandatory.
  • Experience creating reports and metrics, including design of new dashboards of new reporting.
  • Working knowledge of financial analysis tools, income statements and accrual-based accounting.
  • Critical thinking and Problem-Solving skills.
  • Cost and budget analysis skills, including but not limited to, project budget analysis, purchase orders, change orders, cost-to-date and cost-to-complete analysis and forecasting.
  • Ability to identify and communicate potential budget and scope change impacts.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and work closely day to day with the multiple departments.
  • Data gathering, analysis, synthesis, and presentation; proficiency in creating and manipulating pivot tables.
  • Process focused.
  • Ability and willingness to develop strong internal client working relationships, including senior management.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a changing and evolving environment.
  • Self-starter that works without a high-level of direction.
  • Preferred areas of study in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA is a plus.
  • Project Management and project budgeting experience is a plus.
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Financial Services Industry or Technology Finance Experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with Procurement and/or Accounts Payable functions is a plus.
