Who you are:

As the Director, Business Development & Strategic Resources, Southeast/Mid-Central Region you are responsible for working with the regional leadership team and brokers to develop and implement a marketing and research strategy to position the region as a leader in the commercial real estate industry through innovative and measurable tactics.
 

This role partners with national marketing and research, the regional President, Market Leaders and key stakeholders to develop a highly effective salesforce to achieve organic growth and market share gains. This role works with key support functions to assist in managing the business development process, the identification and qualification of opportunities, and the assignment of new opportunities to local or regional pursuit resources and/or the national Business Development Center. This role is accountable for developing the structure and resources required to execute the plan for the region.

 

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a marketing role.

  • Experience in a supervisory/leadership role.

  • Brand management experience

  • Advanced Microsoft applications experience (Excel, Word)

  • Some fluency in, or ability to quickly learn, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).

  • Ability to understand the strategic priorities of the business and adapt marketing tools accordingly

  • Capacity to write and generate content with strong editing and proofreading skills with an emphasis on business writing and an ability to articulate client value.

  • Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action

  • Ability to shift priorities and deliver projects on a timely basis, well organized, excellent time management skills and ability to interface with local level executives.

  • Ability to engage others in the gathering and analysis of information then make recommendations that have a direct impact on the company

  • A strong work ethic, the strength to thrive in a dynamic and demanding work environment, and an ability to meet critical deadlines.

What success looks like:

  • You will work closely with the business to deliver measurable ROI, driving the successful execution of key strategic and cross-functional projects ensuring active communication with all key stakeholders.

  • You will serve as business partner and advisor to the regional President and division leadership.

  • You will oversee regional marketing and research budget and editorial calendar.

  • You will lead, motivate, and inspire direct reports consisting of regional team members, as well as marketing and research leaders across the region.

  • You will supervise regions’ marketing and research professionals inclusive of performance management, development, hiring, staffing, managing priorities in collaboration with marketing and research leads and local management.

  • You will help develop and implement internal and external marketing plans for sales professionals in the region.

  • You will help develop local value propositions and core messaging that align with the brand.

  • You will plan, develop and implement marketing and research strategy and all initiatives for the region.

  • You will review projects and initiatives across the region and allocate resources appropriately, creating economies of scale where possible to maximize cost efficiencies in the delivery of work for the region.

  • You will provide direction to support staff in the use of technology tools to manage metrics and reporting related to business development initiatives including local sales and market activity, pursuit lists, pipelines, follow-up reporting, and business plans.

  • You are responsible for curating and optimizing the regions’ pursuit process from inception through completion, driving and overseeing strategic approach, deliverables/mediums, pitch rehearsals and presentation coaching.

  • You will participate in select client-facing pitch presentations and meetings, leading the marketing and research component and deliverables.

  • You will oversee tracking and reporting success of all marketing pitches and presentations to regional and national leadership.
