Rail Transit Services Business Leader - Chicago, Denver, Charlotte, Houston, Atlanta

Benesch is looking to hire a full-time Rail Transit Services Business Leader that will serve as the lead for rail transit services business development within our Railroad Division. The ideal candidate is a local leader in the transit and rail space and will possess knowledge and communication skills to help build the transit practice throughout the US and collaborate with other Benesch Divisions.

  • Collaborate with transit support service professionals to develop staff involved with systems, engineering design, operations, safety, security, and associated design aspects of rail transit modes including fixed route, bus rapid transit, light rail, commuter rail, and intercity passenger rail
  • Responsible for companywide development, coordination, monitoring, and improvement of technical competencies required to meet client needs
  • Identify market opportunities in close coordination with Division Managers in multiple states
  • Develop winning pursuit strategies, oversee the delivery of project services and deliverables to meet client expectations, develop client relationships in close coordination with Division Managers and local transit staff and represent Benesch at state and national level professional organizations
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline required
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with transit projects and programs required
  • Experienced in the development and management of diverse teams required
  • Experience with FTA programs and large-scale projects required
  • Must have well-developed analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Planning, Engineering, or related discipline required
  • Active with professional organizations such as APWA
  • Professional registration such as AICP, PE, PTOE, PTP, PMP preferred
Compensation Range:

$65.00 to $85.00 /hr

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.
