About the role

The Business Analyst II, will lead and support the roll out of strategic and tactical projects for Global Professional Services (GPS) Operations. GPS has several projects planned related to resource optimization and key performance indicator reporting to drive strategic operational excellence.

The Business Analyst II will support Senior Leadership and Middle Management with key insights and data analytics and conduct several types of research and analysis to support business operations of an internal business segment, division, group, or line of business.

The Business Analyst II will work as part of a team in a scrum setting and must be a self-motivated, proactive, and out-of-the-box thinker.

About the team

Professional Services is the fastest growing segment in the software industry. Global Operations is a small tight knit group that supports Global Professional Services (GPS) - a large and growing division within FIS.

We solve problems and are the key driver for transformational change at GPS and we have just gotten started - implementing a PSA (Professional Services Automation) tool globally. The goal is to drive change by operationalizing and standardizing GPS for future growth.

What you will be doing:

* Lead and support roll out of strategic and tactical projects for (GPS) Operations

* Assist management in resolving business issues effectively and productively.

* Design, document, and re-engineer business processes and publish business metric results.

* Perform data analytics of business goals, objectives and needs of general business environment for GPS.

* Perform research and analysis to support business operations and present findings to manager or project leader.

* Plan and design business processes and make recommendations and changes to improve and support business systems and activities and/or to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.

* Utilize systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.

* Identify and implement best practices and suggest how to improve current practices.

* Calculate/estimate costs and benefits of alternative actions or solutions to establish their viability/return on investment.

* Develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.

* Analyzes and documents business processes and metrics and identifies improvement opportunities.

What you bring

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

* Knowledge of basic financial analysis principles and ratios.

* Proficiency in industry-standard process methodologies.
