Sheet Metal Mechanic
Job Summary:
The Sheet Metal Mechanic will assemble and install commercial and industrial HVAC Sheet metal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
-Selects gauge and type of sheet metal according to product specifications.
-Inspects, assembles and installs for conformance to specifications.
-Ensures appropriate materials are available to complete the job.
-Keeps records of departmental activities.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Five or more years of sheet metal experience required. Must be able to field measure and field fabricate simple fittings. Must have the ability to measure fittings for shop input. Small hand tools are required.

Must possess good communication skills (verbal and written).
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Mathematical Skills
Must possess basic math skills. Ability to perform these basic operations using units of American money and weight measurement, and volume.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complex written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Driver's License and meet MVR requirements to operate a company vehicle.
Physical Demands
Must be able to climb ladders, lift and carry 50 or more pounds, distinguish colors for electrical work, use hand tools and tolerate confined spaces. Work will involve heights and seasonal temperature extremes.
