DescriptionThe Construction laborer ensures the efficiency of a project through planned, thoughtful movement of materials and debris.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Material staging and placement
- Material delivery and logistical planning
- Tools inventory
- Tools and gang box staging
- Debris removal
- Tools repair and maintenance
- Attend weekly meetings as needed
- Communicate with lead man or foreman
Accountable to Lead Man or Foreman of project. Laborers must be able to lift and carry debris safely up to 100 lbs. Mixing materials and staging materials will also be a requirement. Must be willing to be trained to operate various power tools. Also, laborer will need to have a basic understanding of productivity and production goals. They will be expected to set goals on a daily or even hourly basis related to the requirements of the estimate and project.
NOTE: In the San Francisco Bay area wages range from $21.97 per hour for entry level apprentices to $35.00 per hour for Journeyman. Wages are determined by union scale as determined in the current collective bargaining agreement.
