Due to continued growth, our Corporate group is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Kennesaw, GA location. Nuclear Quality Assurance is preferred.


Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):

  • As a certified Lead Auditor (LA), plan and perform internal and external (suppliers) audits and surveillances
  • Review purchase orders, contracts, task orders and agreements for flow-down of quality assurance requirements
  • Review and revise quality procedures (quality system, engineering and project management) and processes
  • Possess the confidence and fortitude to make independent decisions based on requirements and technical justification
  • Prepare, issue and maintain Corrective Action Reports (CAR) utilizing ENERCON's Performance Tracking System (PTS)
  • Interact with divisional functional areas to support successful resolution of quality issues
  • Support the improvement and enhancement of ENERCON's Quality Management System (QMS) and QA Program (QAP)

Required Qualifications/ skills:

  • Bachelors' degree from an accredited college/university in an engineering/scientific discipline or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
  • 4+ years of previous quality assurance experience, preferably with 10 CFR Part 21, 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, ASME/ANSI NQA-1-2008/2009/2015 and ISO 9001:2015 experience.
  • Prior experience and certification as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and Lead Auditor per NQA-1, Subpart 3.1; OR willing to become certified as an ISO 9001 and NQA-1 Lead Auditor
  • Ability to work with and lead project or audit teams.
  • Ability to effectively speak and communicate with others
  • Excellent PC skills and technically fluent in Microsoft Office products and SharePoint
  • Practical knowledge of engineering methods and techniques with the ability to read and interpret engineering and design plans and specifications
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%

Employment requirement

Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies.

Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
