What You'll Do:

Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.

Repair Equipment. Learn the practice of assembly, disassembly, overhaul, repair and adjustment of crushing and processing equipment.

Learn Inspection and Maintenance Policies. Learn daily inspections and maintenance of the plant equipment in order to ensure safe, reliable and compliant operation to be able to maximize production.

Become Familiar with Processes and Materials. Learn how to monitor and review the plant, specifically various crushing, washing, and screening areas to be able to identify problems and ensure safety and materials compliance.

Perform General Physical Activities. Perform a variety of tasks that assist with the operation of the plant, including cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials.

Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Skills You'll Need:

Experience. Ability to read manuals and work under close supervision to develop foundational knowledge.

Willingness to Learn. Must display a positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow, ability to take direction from others, and have clear communication skills.

Flexibility. Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises. May be required to relocate based on the location of mechanic roles.

Mechanical Skills. Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
