Safety Lab Technician

TUV SUD America's Atlanta, GA location is a NRTL/CB laboratory located in Alpharetta, in the northern metropolitan area, serving the Southeast for testing, inspection, and certification services has an opening for Safety Lab Technician.

The Safety Lab Technician will support the TUV America's vision and mission statement. Adhere to all TUV America policies and procedures as outlined in the various Corporate Policies and the Employee Handbook. All Employees are responsible for general cooperation, safety, and support of all TUV locations.

This is a Full-time non-exempt position for TUV America Inc. located in Alpharetta, GA.

Occasional off-shift and/or off-site meetings as necessary. Hours beyond the normal work week are often required to satisfy client deadlines.

Roles and Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory tests.

Generate computer generated test data.

Maintain equipment calibrations.

Maintain proficiency with the latest lab and testing procedures.

Keep laboratory organized.

Keep abreast of present and future Product Safety requirements, test procedures, instrumentation, technology and TUV Product Service capabilities by internal training sessions, external seminars and reading of technical articles.

Education

Assoc. Degree Electronics or equivalent

Minimum 2 years job related experience.

Working knowledge of Word for Windows and Excel.
