DEPARTMENT OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY BYRDINE F. LEWIS COLLEGE OF NURSING AND HEALTH PROFESSIONS GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY
The Department of Occupational Therapy in the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions at Georgia State University in Atlanta invites applications for one 9-month tenure track position specializing in Assistive Technology at the rank of Assistant Professor. The faculty will engage and lead transdisciplinary research in Occupational Therapy and Assistive Technology. The faculty will actively develop grant applications (NIH or similar federal grants), mentor OTD and Ph.D. students in research and capstone experiences, publish in high impact journals, facilitate on-campus and off-campus collaboration, and lead the teaching area involving Assistive Technology Assessment and Intervention throughout the lifespan.
Minimum Requirements include a) a research doctoral-level degree (Ph.D.) with emphasis on Assistive Technology and an established record of research, grants, and scholarly productivity, b) demonstrated clinical experience and a commitment to excellence in graduate-level teaching c) at least 5 years of clinical practice as an occupational therapist, and d) NBCOT certification and currently licensed to practice OT in the State of Georgia, GSU, a world-class public doctoral research university with more than 54,000 students, is in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.
