POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Internal Communications Manager, you will provide an elevated level of communication and employee engagement support both to the Americas Region and Group (70% regional, 30% group). This role contributes to the success of RWC's strategic objectives by working collaboratively and cross-functionally to implement comprehensive communication strategies and campaigns that promote and strengthen RWC's unique values and culture while mobilizing employees to act in support of the organization's goals.

In this role, you will help reimagine how RWC communicates with its employees, developing compelling content that is fresh, engaging, and visually appealing. You should be a creative storyteller, who is technologically savvy and can work across teams to mine for compelling stories and content ideas.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES - AMERICAS INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Design and execute overall communication strategies for a variety of business initiatives to engage and inform colleagues, drive participation, and change behavior where required to improve the organizations overall flow of communication.
  • Function as a consultant aligned with senior leaders and/or business partners to proactively develop integrated communication strategies, including suggestions for appropriate audience, channel, message, and time frame to meet strategic objectives of the business.
  • Create decks, presentations, and internal collateral to clearly communicate and support the business' needs while upholding brand guidelines.
  • Ensure the planning, development, and execution of internal communications that consider all audiences/levels; address the unique needs of the business units and geographies.
  • Draft materials for a wide range of internal communication channels (webcasts, town halls, face-to-face, video, online, print, etc.) to engage and inform all levels of employees.
  • Identify, write, and post timely content for the business intranet pages.
  • Manage and write intranet content to support business priorities and drive organization engagement.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of internal communication channels
  • Prepare confidential and sensitive information for use by Executive team; draft/prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Serve as the project manager for special projects and events.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES - GROUP INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Draft communications materials including internal communications, talking points, video scripts, social media posts.
  • Develop and execute corporate and business communications in a large, global, and matrixed organization.
  • Lead the development and execution of a communications strategy that will engage and inspire employees across the organization to drive awareness around key initiatives.
  • Lead and support the regions to unify internal/external messaging globally (to ensure similar themes, styles).
  • Coordinate and align communications to DE&I and ESG calendar and messaging.
  • Managing Internal Employee Intranet (SIMON), to bring the most impactful stories to life through critical moments, such as SPIRIT activities, industry and company events, and executive keynotes.
  • Function as a go-to point of escalation for strategic communications guidance across the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Experience/skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of corporate communications experience; in-house experience preferred working across global organizations

Skills:

  • Strong collaborator with exceptional strategic planning, communications (written and oral) and strong storyteller skills across channels (print, blog, video), problem solving and ability to master multi-tasking working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate communications in the age of social media.
  • Strong ownership and accountability - able to roll-up your sleeves and to take ownership to make things happen. Ease of work style to do and lead others to effective outcomes.
  • Global mindset and experience working across geographies, cultures, and time zones.
