Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our Sales and Account Management teams and our clients. Your role is responsible for generating new business opportunities by creating quality leads through cold calls and emails and developing relationships with potential and current customers.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with multiple sales techniques and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.

What You'll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)

  • Contact potential clients by extensive cold calls and emails to present our company and solutions.
  • Customize product solutions to better target the needs of specific clients, suggesting appropriate products/services to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule appointments for sales or account management to meet prospective clients.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Responsible for weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to the VP of Sales.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of products/services and their value propositions.
Qualifications

What We're Looking For (Minimum qualifications)

  • Have or become a licensed P&C agent in your state of residence within 90 days of employment.
  • 2+ years' work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Executive, or similar role in the rental housing industry.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Proven track record of sales achievement and meeting KPIs
  • Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Office 365
  • Excellent communication skills including engaging presentation skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly and appropriately to influence others.

Education Requirements

  • Degree in Business related field or 3+ years of work-related experience.
