Are you enthusiastic about technology and innovation in the field of Automation, Instrumentation, and Controls? GEMU is seeking a dedicated Automation and Instrumentation Engineer to provide top-notch product support and enhance customer experiences with our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert product support to internal and external stakeholders, pertaining to the Automation and Instrumentation product line, including but not limited to handling customer inquiries, specifications, and troubleshooting.
  • Understand and explain technical concepts and product documentation such as datasheets, operating manuals, and work instructions to a diverse base of individuals.
  • Specify GEMU products based on customer specifications and industry standards, while staying informed of industry standards and developments.
  • Cross-reference competitor's products to GEMU products, providing expert opinion on features & benefits of each.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Automation and Instrumentation products.
  • Collaborate with the global GEMU Group to convey customer feedback and facilitate future development and improvements of the product line.
  • Assist in producing product literature, PowerPoint presentations, and other materials as needed to support troubleshooting and training.
  • Promote product knowledge through development of comprehensive training programs training of clients and colleagues.
  • Travel to client sites as needed to provide support, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Document activities using CRM software.
  • Other duties as needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering and automation concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including as the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex work instructions in English.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with a diverse personnel base.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of Automation and Instrumentation concepts and products such as position indicators, solenoids, electropneumatic positioners, etc.
  • Knowledge of automation systems and concepts such as PLC, DCS, SCADA, etc.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Automation languages and communication such as ASi, IO-Link, DeviceNet, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Industrial Automation Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry, or relevant related fields.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • 1-10 years of experience in a similar role, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
