Responsibilities

Recreation/Expressive Therapist -PRN

Peachford Hospital is searching for an experienced Recreational Therapist to work PRN in on our Expressive Therapy Team.


What Role Will You Play?

Expressive Therapists serve as members of interdisciplinary treatment teams and provide therapeutic expressive therapy services to patients. The abilities to skillfully establish therapeutic rapport and engage patients in different art, music, and recreational activities are critical in this role.


What Will You Get To Do?

Expressive Therapists are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks:

  • Develop and implement expressive therapy treatment plans that are age appropriate, and consistent with overall treatment goals.
  • Maintain the clinical and administrative documentation associated with performed services.
  • Progress notes should be accurate, timely and legible.
  • Effectively contribute to discharge planning of patients.


What Does Peachford Require for this Role?
A bachelor's degree in an activity therapy related field (recreation therapy, art therapy, music therapy, etc.) is required and CTRS, ATR or RMT along with previous inpatient/outpatient hospital experience is preferred.
