Responsibilities

Anchor Hospital is seeking a Dynamic and Talented Expressive Therapist, PRN

Established in 1986, Anchor Hospital specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for teens, adults and seniors. Our mental health facility in Atlanta, Georgia is located on a secluded, 55-acre campus, less than three miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and is accredited by the Joint Commission. Our continuum of services includes a 24/7 free, confidential psychiatric assessment by Georgia behavioral health professionals. Anchor Hospital is a proud supporter of the National Action Alliance on Suicide Prevention. We provide Georgia behavioral health education and resources to help improve the communities we serve.

The Expressive Therapist will serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and provide therapeutic expressive therapy services to patients. Providing Multi-Modality Group Therapy services Therapy Services to patients in one or more programs of the hospital within the therapeutic milieu. Responsibilities include group implementation, individualized documentation, the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention and assistance in activities of daily living, as needed.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement Expressive Therapy treatment plans that are age appropriate and consistent with overall treatment goals.
  • Maintain the clinical and administrative documentation associated with performed services.
  • Assist in keeping supplies and equipment organized and in working condition.
  • Will adhere to all safety policies and safe work practice.
  • Will adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Support facility internal and external customer service standards.
  • Follow Anchor Hospital Time and Attendance policy.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in relevant field. (Recreational, Art, Drama, Music, Dance/Movement Therapy)

Experience:

License/Certification:

CRTS, Art/Dance/Music Therapy Certification required

Skills:

Physical Requirements:

Medium demand, mentally. Requires extensive time sitting, writing, and talking on telephone. Ability to assist in crisis intervention, physical intervention with out of control patients.

Other:

Performs others duties as may be assigned by Director of Clinical Services/Lead Expressive Therapist.
