As Global Application Specialist, you will develop applications in the area of critical power and building electrification for the North American market. In this role, you will design, develop, and validate applications and solutions in above areas leveraging on a customer in approach.

Global Industry Segment Manager

• Develop applications included training, value proposition, and communication materials
• Support test and validation of applications
• Help customers by identifying the best solutions for their projects
• Ensure adequate customer journey (i.e., application configurator) is in place for the respective application
• Customer-In process to capture the customers' voice
• Support digital marketing campaigns related to applications
• Define ABB and competitive landscape, monitor market trends in the above applications and recommend adjustments for the long and mid-term strategy
• Provide feedback to Product management and Digital teams on new development needs
• Participate in national/international standardization committee

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5 years experience
• Experience in electrical systems, ability to read, understand and design electrical diagrams
• Experience with electrical distribution, critical power systems, protection and switching devices, metering and monitoring devices and systems
• Agile mindset and preferable experience in an agile working context
• Technical understanding and willingness to learn and continuously acquire new competences
• Excellent communication skills
• Second language is a plus
• Negotiation skills, market knowledge, leadership skills, social skills complete the profile
• Knowledge of NEC codes (i.e. NEC700,701,702),Uptime Institute Tier design, ANSI/TIA-942-A ratings, ANSI/BICSI 002 levels, or similar electrical distribution design requirements is considered a plus
• Design software skills(i.e. Etap, SKM, EasyPower, AutoCAD or similar is considered a plus
