What we're looking for

To excel as a Construction Materials Engineering Technician at S&ME, Inc., you'll need a combination of skills and qualifications to thrive in this dynamic role. With 0-2 years of experience in construction testing and inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and asphalt materials, you'll be well-equipped to handle the responsibilities of the job. Effective communication in English is essential for tasks such as documenting field activities and conveying findings accurately. Proficiency in data entry using smart devices and familiarity with software applications will streamline your workflow.

Possessing certifications such as those below are a plus:

  • American Concrete Institute (ACI) Field Testing Grade I
  • International Code Council (ICC) in the areas of construction materials
  • Post Tensioning Institute (PTI)
  • DOT Certifications in the fields of aggregate, conventional density, asphalt, and concrete and/or other certifications as necessary is a definite advantage.

Your physical stamina and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, travel for assignments, and adapt to flexible hours are key to thriving in this role. Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment will be provided.
