Auxiliary Services manages a diverse portfolio of business services on the Georgia Tech campus. We strive to enhance the quality of life for our campus community by providing innovative services and operational excellence.

Job Summary

The Executive Director for Enterprise and Retail Services at the Georgia Institute of Technology provides strategic vision and leadership to enhance the operations, programs, facility management, and services of a comprehensive student-centered system consisting of traditional dining halls, self-operated and franchised food retail under the dining portfolio, tenant operated food and non-food retail services in Tech Square, the Student Center, and future locations, food, drink, and other vending operations, and pop-up retail activations including food trucks and community markets. The Executive Director provides oversight and provides direction for the total enterprise and retail organization. Responsible for setting employee and/or group goals, deciding on organizational structure to meet the goals, assessing employee and/or group performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.

This position will interact on a regular basis with: leadership, executives, staff, vendors and internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Create, lead, and facilitate a comprehensive, cohesive, compelling dining and retail operation in-line with and a complement to the mission of the Institute and focused on supporting our students through their complete experience at Georgia Institute of Technology

Job Duty 2 -
Utilize their knowledge and experience of dining and retail services on a highly residential campus to implement a robust offering of services and products that is conducive to supporting students, faculty, staff, and guests as they visit campus in any capacity

Job Duty 3 -
Provide leadership in the design and implementation of a strategic retail master plan and budgeting model to encompass the renovation, renewal, and capital improvement of all Georgia Tech owned dining or retail facilities

Job Duty 4 -
Ensure that the complete enterprise and retail operation is efficient and service oriented, fully utilizing technology and other resources

Job Duty 5 -
Using a data-informed analysis, the Executive Director will be responsible for forecasting demands and advancing future construction to meet both student and institutional objectives

Job Duty 6 -
Lead efforts in collaboration with partners in academic affairs, student engagement and well-being, and administration and finance to re-imagine and reinvigorate vibrant learning and living experience in and around campus

Job Duty 7 -
Lead efforts in collaboration with partners in student life, student health services, campus recreation and residential life to effectively address concerns of holistic health and well-being from a dining perspective

Job Duty 8 -
Ensure effective planning and continuous assessment activities to evaluate and strengthen community building; supporting student well-being, safety, and academic success; and enhancing the overall satisfaction with the retail experience while increasing student retention

Job Duty 9 -
As a member of the leadership team, the Executive Director will provide leadership in response to student needs and concerns and contribute to, and support, division-wide strategic planning, key initiatives/events, efficient and effective operations, and learning outcome objectives and serve as the subject matter expert for all issues related to dining and retail and advise and inform Associate Vice-President, Campus Services and Institute executive leadership on student trends and concerns as it relates to their area of operation

Educational Requirements
Master's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Eight to ten years of job-related experience
