We are excited to add a Market Access & Pricing Manager to our Market Access team! The position will pay between $116,000 - $142,000 plus bonus based on previous relevant experience, educational credentials, and location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Market Access & Pricing Manager is responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders and leveraging various data sources to provide analysis and insight as it relates to pricing across all business units, either reactively by request or proactively based on anticipated needs. Individual uses historical data and context, employs forecasting techniques, and considers the Market Access environment to project potential impact to the business. Individual effectively translates data into insights and communicates to respective stakeholders while managing pricing approval processes. Market Access & Pricing Manager develops and implements processes for sales metrics reporting while continuously improving on processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on pricing within the various business units in the organization including, but not limited to, commercial, international, government, and distributor.
  • Perform pricing analyses, either ad-hoc, or in conjunction with ongoing projects to provide potential impacts to revenue, ASP, gross margins, etc. Translate trends and correlations from data to meaningful insights to Management.
  • Calculate quarterly Average Selling Price and manage the validation process. Ensure complete and accurate reporting files and communication for submission. Continually monitor for accuracy and ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for the oversight, processing and paying of Governmental programs, including an understanding of reimbursement / health economics to provide recommendations for rebates and post contract analytics to measure performance to expectations.
  • Manage the development, education, communication, implementation and ongoing maintenance of Govt pricing reimbursement SOPs, processes, data, and reporting, including business requirements and testing processes.
  • Assist in developing pricing strategies for new product launch through product extension or biologics license application.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for short and long-term strategies to drive greater pricing alignment to customer value and business profitability. Assist in the development of robust pricing strategies and policies for the various customer segments.
  • Operate as a liaison with finance and develop financial impact analysis for pricing response models
  • Serve as a consultant for key departments to provide insights and recommendations on various topics through independent research and analytics.
  • Perform, communicate, maintain, and continuously improve of periodic sales metrics reporting to Management. Solicit requirements from the end user and tailor reports to meet current needs while anticipating future inquiries.
  • Develop rebate models and tracking system to reflect accruals for performance based contracts.
  • Create tools and processes to monitor customer performance against contract commitments.
  • Assist in Request for Proposal (RFP) process by building price scenario modeling and communicating potential outcomes to the Market Access decision makers. Aid in administrative tasks associated with RFP process.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and maintain a tracking process to capture competitive pricing through the use of internal tools, field input, and public pricing compendia. Review pricing to ensure strategy is aligned with contracts and company objectives
  • Develop and maintain protocol to ensure an accurate and compliant audit trail for any pricing activities or price points that may fall outside of preapproved guidelines, contracts, or processes. Manage the price approval process through compiling materials, scheduling and leading meetings, taking and publishing notes, and maintaining records and tracking tools. Maintain up-to-date company product information and pricing in third party data bank (e.g. Red Book, First Data Bank, MediSpan) via online data entry or spreadsheet submissions
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures manual to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA in related discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in related field with 8+years of progressive responsible positions, or verifiable ability

OR

  • MS/MA and 5+ years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas
  • Prefer 5+ years of experience in pricing, strategy, market research
  • Understanding reimbursement in healthcare
  • Prefer Healthcare/bio pharma experience
  • Prefer organizational change, project management, and/or strategy development experience

    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Build and maintain internal and external relationships with stakeholders from varying disciplines
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Proficient in analytical tools (such as Tableau, SAS, Python)
    • Organized, flexible, and able to multi-task while maintaining a high level of efficiency and attention to detail
    • Strong analytical, technical, and presentation skills
    • Proven ability to draw insights from data and effectively communicate to a broad audience
    • Project management and strategy development

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The work is typically performed in a normal office environment. Position will require some travel; less than 10%
