Job Description

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related/similar discipline and three (3) to five (5) years of work-related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use computer software programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work well within a team of engineers
  • Experience using Cameo
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems through the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) model
  • Experience building models using MBSE methodologies, best practices and tools
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot any issues that arise
  • Ability to ensure all Model Based Systems Engineering products meet customer requirements
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Travel could be 10%

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of Marine Corps C2 and Command Post systems
  • Strong understanding of the systems and processes used by the Marine Corps, including knowledge of the technology and equipment used by Marines in the field, and the procedures and protocols they follow
  • Expert knowledge of systems architecture and systems design and development
  • Strong knowledge of using Cameo and documented success using Cameo
  • Demonstrated self-starter with organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
  • Knowledge of Analysis of Alternatives, Verification and Validation, Design of Experiments and data analytics
  • Experience modeling architectures of complex Marine Corps systems
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary modeling and simulation (physics-level, engineering-level and/or operational-level)

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, validates, and maintains MBSE products
  • Uses an MBSE approach to develop a representation of the network to facilitate follow-on analyses
  • Translates analysis results into actionable recommendations for the USMC
  • Supports requirements management, interface management and architecture change management processes
  • Articulates major uncertainties associated with systems architectures, defines risks and opportunities associated with the uncertainties
  • Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams of SMEs to develop engineering models of complex systems for the purpose of informing decision makers, simplifying design and test, and understanding system performance
  • Effectively communicates with teams and stakeholders
  • Ensure all MBSE products meet customer requirements
  • Performs regular communication with U.S. Marine Forces Units, Government Customers, Contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss statuses, solve problems, exchange information and to maintain productivity and progressive communication
