This role is responsible for skilled TIG welding functions related to preparing stainless steel metal, fabricating frames, pipe welding of SS fittings, and repairing metal framework.

What You Will Do:

  • Proficient in TIG welding.
  • Welding Standard products from raw stainless-steel plate, angle, and square stock, producing a finished product using a Bill of Material and fabrication drawings.
  • Read, interpret, and follow instructions from blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
  • Able to weld slip and butt weld piping assemblies to ASME section IX weld standards.
  • Experience with multi levels of Shop equipment and tools (Drill presses, saws, grinders power tools, hand tools)
  • Take ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • Cut, clean and prepare raw materials.
  • Mentor and train other employees.

Position Details:

  • Plant location: Green Tree, PA (Pittsburg, PA)
  • Work week and shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Compensation package offered: $25 / hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A skilled trade degree/certification with 3 years of experience, or 6 years relevant experience in light industrial equipment TIG welding.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ASME section IX standards.
  • Able to assemble and weld piping runs including valves, gages, PRVs, BPVs, and check valves.
  • Machine shop skills
  • Multiple welding certs
  • SAP knowledge (MRP system)
  • Prior experience as a team lead
  • Machinist experience
  • Basic electrical knowledge or experience.
  • Crating and packaging skills
  • Good verbal communication and leadership skills.
  • Work with engineering to resolve production concerns.
  • Able to work alone or lead a team.
  • Able to work in a shop environment (dust, noise, odors).
  • Basic computer skills (examples: data entry, Internet/e-mail, etc.).
