Summary:

Works throughout the software development life cycle and performs in a utility capacity to create,

design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement and validate applications with a broad understanding of a variety of

languages and architectures. Analyzes existing applications or formulate logic for new applications, procedures,

flowcharting, coding and debugging programs. Maintains and utilizes application and programming documents in

the development of code. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Creates

appropriate deliverables and develops application implementation plans throughout the life cycle in an agile

development environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Use a wide variety of AWS cloud services to implement and support platform architecture
  • Model and create resources in Kubernetes
  • Model, build, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform on AWS
  • Build, maintain, and support InfoSec solutions
  • Effectively manage and assign projects while lending support to the team.
  • Build and maintain tools, solutions and microservices associated with deployment and our operations
  • platform
  • Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues
  • before launch.
  • Test the system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to
  • infrastructure, making improvements as needed.
  • Automate the operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security
  • requirements.
  • Establish DevOps Engineer team best practices.
  • Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes.
  • Work with open-source technologies.
  • Work with CI and CD tools, and source control such as Bitbucket/Jenkins/Sonar/Nexus and Docker
  • Lead the team through development and operations.

Requires at least:

(a) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; and

(b) four years of experience as Software Engineer or related position. Experience must include the following

Experience and skills:

  • 3 years of Automation Scripting experience using Python and Groovy.
  • 2 years of experience in Kubernetes and Cloud Technologies; and
  • 2 years of experience in Linux.

As an alternative, the Employer will accept:

A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (e.g., 3 years work experience = 1 year missing education); and

6 years of experience as Software Engineer or related position.
