The Program Manager, Supply Chain Simplification reports to the Program Director, Supply Chain Simplification and is responsible for the program management activities for the Procurement, Manufacturing, and SKU Optimization enterprise initiatives. This position is a key liaison working across interdepartmental teams to achieve the respective program objectives. This role may be called upon to take on additional project management activities related to the Supply Chain Simplification program.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
  • Maintain a standard set of project management tools to manage the scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, etc. for the Procurement, Manufacturing, and SKU enterprise initiatives
  • Partner with the functional program sponsors to identify the key leading and lagging KPIs
  • Assist or coach teams with writing charters, and managing schedules, budgets, risks, issues, etc.
  • Identify and maintain a targeted communication plan for the project/program stakeholders
  • Ensure excellence in Knowledge Management through centralized documentation and version management
  • Adopt/utilize technology tools to make project tracking more efficient and transparent for stakeholders
  • Proactively manage changes in program scope, schedule, resources, and budget
  • Support the program leader(s) on the planning and execution of program deliverables
  • Contribute to the development of content for senior leadership discussions and decision-making meetings
HOW THE JOB OPERATES WITH ITS STAKEHOLDERS
  • Core member of the Supply Chain PMO and contributor to building project management capability at Central
  • Key thought partner to the VPs of Procurement, Manufacturing, S&OP, and Sales on their respective program executional strategies
  • Work with the functional sponsors to surface and resolve critical program issues and obstacles
  • Maintain a pulse on the project teams capacity and ability to meet required deliverables
  • Set and maintain meeting cadence and working rhythm for the interdepartmental teams for each initiative
  • Bring discipline and consistency to project management activities to reduce non-value activities and proactively manage program/project deliverables.
  • Integrate Change Management practices into the project planning strategies to gain stakeholder support
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-7+ years managing a complex project portfolio, preferably in the Consumer Goods sector.
  • Formal project management training/certification preferred.
  • Strong organizational agility and comfort working across multiple business units.
  • Proven track record of effective strategic planning and project execution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and track record of building collaborative teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite required, Microsoft Smartsheet preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work productively with minimal direct supervision
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Hybrid from Schaumburg, IL, Atlanta, GA, or Walnut Creek, CA offices preferred.

  • 20% travel may be required
  • Pay range is $93,000-$124,000
