Position Title: Customer Support Specialist
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Customer Support Manager
Department: Automation & Reliability Solutions

Job Summary:
Partner with our customers to achieve improved business results by leveraging Controls Southern products and services. Primary focus is project administration and order management. Success will be measured in top line sales and gross margin growth, as well as customer loyalty. Duties include sales operations and customer daily phone support, providing accurate and timely day to day quotations, expanding sales via "value add" solutions and handling quote to cash order management. Establish and maintain total customer commitment to Control Southern and our principals.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Product and Service Customer Support
  • Maximize gross margins and top line sales revenue of all deliverables in each sales opportunity.
  • Partner with customers, sales, engineering, and suppliers to provide timely customer support.
  • Provide customers with day-to-day quotes.
  • Handle all order management and purchasing duties for assigned accounts.
  • Responsible for project set up, includes financial baseline set up, resource assignments bill of material management, and invoicing.
  • Visit customer sites as needed.
  • Participate in pre and post project handoff meetings with sales and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to stage and manage project inventory.
  • Support accounting needs such as collections and invoicing discrepancies.
  • Coordinate material shipments to include expediting hardware and software deliveries as necessary.

Travel:

Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications:

BS degree preferred. Minimum 5-7 years' experience with use of computerized order entry, order processing and invoicing systems or similar/equivalent.

  • Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word).
  • Working knowledge of CRM programs (i.e. Salesforce) preferable.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (oral & written) skills required.
