POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Private Label Sales Specialist reports to the Regional Vice President
  • Located in Texas, Florida, Georgia, or Tennessee
  • Full-Time
  • Remote / Hybrid within hired region

The Private Label Sales Specialist holds responsibility for growing the TriMark Private Label sales volume and supports the distribution sales team with focus on Tabletop (Premier Collections) and Smallwares (Culinary Essentials). They are responsible for the growth of the private label brand through various initiatives including data review, customer review, new employee training, assisting with stocking position, item conversions, and various other strategic opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with Territory Sales Reps to help identify private label opportunities with new customers and vertical markets.
  • Uses historical sales data to identify opportunities for margin growth, increased share of wallet, and item conversions within current customer base
  • Collaborates with other specialists and marketing department to develop quality marketing collateral to help grow Private Brand sales across Trimark including but not limited to catalogs, sales flyers and electronic materials
  • Collaborates with Category Management and other Sales Enablement Specialists on best practices and opportunities to grow private brands including new skus, pricing, problem skus, stocking positions, and other areas
  • Works with TriMark division and distribution sales organization to develop and follow best practices for selling private brands including training material, lunch and learns, and promotions
  • Strengthens the focus on private brands with defined monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
  • Collaborate with specialists and purchasing organization to enhance intelligent local stock position of PL product based on growth opportunities and conversion strategies
  • Collaborate with Territory Leaders on opening and operating showrooms.
  • Act as a liaison between sales and PL Procurement for Quality control issues, inventory issues, inventory forecasting for large projects, pricing concerns, product inquiries, etc.
  • Participate in Local and National Trade shows as necessary
  • Facilitate new Private Brands Training for all new sales reps in respective territory
  • Participates in execution of new product launches within Private Brands
  • Communicates and assists in implementation of growth strategies for Private Brands as identified by Category Management

COMPETENCIES:

  • Product Knowledge and experience of categories to be sold, including commercial China, flatware, glassware, small wares and equipment
  • Understanding of new product development and industry trends in commercial China, flatware, glassware, small wares, and equipment
  • Modify coaching and selling techniques based on (internal/external) customers' needs, product knowledge, perceptions and buying power.
  • Generate reports, business correspondence, procedures and training manuals/materials.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from multiple individuals, customers, vendors and the general public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong skillset in Microsoft excel with emphasis on data understanding, manipulation, and collection

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree* from a four-year college/university in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years' of progressively responsible B2B sales experience within the Hospitality industry.
  • Prior marketing experience.

*Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
