Description

Responsible for administering, maintaining, and analyzing day-to-day operations of the Agency's benefits programs, health and wellness programs, and leave administration. Participates in the creation, implementation and administration of the agency's compensation programs and policies through salary planning, analytics, and reporting. Assists in examining and identifying improvement opportunities for benefits and compensation.

Essential Functions:

  • Partners with the Director of Total Rewards, carriers, and benefits administration vendors in the annual open enrollment process ensuring renewal changes are accurately reflected in open enrollment materials and communications.
  • Assists with planning and coordination of open enrollment site visits as well as participates in site visits to assist team members with open enrollment questions
  • Provides day-to-day processing, analytical, technical, and operational support, serving as the initial point of contact for benefits inquiries from team members and other internal stakeholders
  • Administers leave of absences in conjunction with our third-party leave management vendors in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Partners with our external benefits administrator to review and reconcile invoices and payments to carriers and collaborate with the Finance team to ensure timely coordination of payments
  • Provides support in the implementation and administration of benefits programs
  • Identifies and resolves administrative problems related to specific benefits packages
  • Assist in interpreting both new and existing state and federal regulations, and provide support in updating company procedures and policies as necessary to maintain compliance
  • Collaborate with the Director of Total Rewards on the administration of the agency's 403(b) retirement plans in partnership with internal teams (HRIS, Finance, etc.) and external partners including but not limited to approving contribution changes, submitting data for 403(b) discrimination testing, and annual 403(b) audits
  • Serve as our liaison with our retirement plan provider on outstanding 403(b) loans, weekly funding of 403(b) payroll contributions, etc.
  • Conducts weekly and monthly audits to ensure all team member enrollment records, deductions, etc. are maintained and accurate; conducts ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Collects, assesses and evaluates external market compensation data to ensure competitive positioning of Goodwill of North Georgia's pay practices
  • Collaborates and assists in job analysis, job evaluation and market pricing to determine the appropriate salary grade, FLSA status, and base compensation ensuring consistency across the agency
  • Manages merit increases and incentive plans for team members at all levels
  • Partners with applicable vendors or HRIS team when necessary to resolve salary data issues or concerns
  • Utilizes HR systems, salary and job structure to effectively assist in job/salary maintenance
  • Ensures company compliance with all applicable local, state and federal laws
  • Other duties assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or related field required
  • Five (5+) or more years' of extensive experience in administering and analyzing benefits, retirement plans, base pay compensation, and/or salary/pay analysis
  • SHRM-CP, Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
  • Strong with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, maintain productivity and effectiveness in a fast-changing environment
  • Knowledge of functional human resources administration and basic principles of human resources reporting methods
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, excel savvy, client relationship building, innovative, customer oriented and results oriented
  • Knowledge of data collection, analysis, data presentation and project management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, flexibility and responsiveness

Working Environment Conditions/Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an office environment and perform office functions
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 25 lbs. with or without accommodations
  • Ability to travel to various locations within our 45 county territory for open enrollment or other site visits
