Your Role
As a Gensler Technical Designer, you will collaborate with our Design & Technical Directors to develop design solutions and coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate an architect's sketches and documents into2D/3Dmodels and images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise.Your work ethic, combined with your commitment to collaboration and mentoring, makes Gensler the perfect place to nurture your career.
What You Will Do
Be able to work independently and with project teams in creating representations of design sketches or developed projects
Work with the Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production.
Follow through on designs in construction administration phases of project work
Able to research solutions to technical, or artistic, issues when they arise.
A good understanding of graphic design and composition
Possess strong communication skills, time management, and a self-driven work ethic
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in architecture (or foreign equivalent)
5+ years of full-time experiencein a design firm environment post-graduation
Experience in aviation, transportation, or critical facilities
Coordination with consultant teams
Working knowledge of modeling in 3ds Max or Rhino utilizing Vray.
High-level experience translating architects' sketches and CAD documents into realized3Dmodels and images
Experience in rendering architecture and interiors with a high level of proficiency
Advanced computer skills must include Revit, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, andSketchUp.
Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes.
Knowledge or proficiency in Building Information Modeling
