SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR

Now recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing company for an experienced Audit professional. The company has added this role at the request of executive leadership to focus on the operational risk of customer projects. This role will be based in Atlanta, largely remote (with occasional in office meetings), and required up to 10-20% travel (domestic and international).

The Senior Internal Auditor will be primarily responsible for operational audits of customer projects across North America. This will include identifying and mitigating risk, making recommendations to improve the customer project management process, and driving improved profitability and efficiencies. The role will include the entire process of auditing - from planning, to field work, to write ups, working business partners to present results, and drive controls and improvements. This role will work across many functional lines of the business and be a key partner to leaders.

The right candidate for this unique Senior Internal Audit opportunity will have:
  • Certification - CIA, CPA or related
  • Experience -
    • Strong experience with operational audit (external or internal audit) and handling the entire workflow of audit engagements
    • Project Management experience (PMP designation is preferred)
  • Industry - Experience working with clients whose business model is project-oriented; such as construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, logistics, etc.
  • Experience level - 3+ years of relevant audit experience
  • Other -
    • Strong communication and relationship building skills
    • Desire to learn the business and help mitigate risk to protect the business and optimize process flow
