GP Recycling, a recycling industry leader, is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded Recycled Commodity Trader in our Plastic Division. Your responsibilities will include identifying new supply locations as well as working with our experienced sales team to meet our ever-expanding demand. Location: This role is a remote role and the candidate may sit anywhere in the United States. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.


What You Will Do

  • Support the growth of the plastics division with a focus on supply
  • Find new supply locations to feed our existing demand points while executing with urgency
  • Use internal GP Recycling capabilities to create innovative structures that are long-term in nature
  • Work with existing sales teams to obtain incremental plastic supply
  • Embrace all avenues of pursuing new clientele, including cold-calling
  • Operate as a principled entrepreneur - treat your business as your own and work with urgency
  • Work with our capability teams to execute transactions
  • Create a superior experience for our counterparties
  • Travel to existing and potential accounts across the country to grow your book of business (approximately 30% travel expected)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 3+ years of experience procuring, selling, and/or trading plastics
  • Established relationships with suppliers or customers in the plastic space

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Microsoft Dynamics experience
  • Post-consumer or post-industrial plastic experience

For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000-$130,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
