Atrium Hospitality is seeking a dynamic Corporate Accounting Manager to provide accounting support for the staff accountant team, prepare financial statements, review and approval of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, daily revenue and cash reconciliations, as well as other related finance projects.
The Corporate Accounting Manager will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
Managea team of Corporate Staff Accountants and/or third-party accounting services in the performance of assigned functions (includes training, development and performance management of the team);
Supportthe consistent administration ofthe financial objectives across multiple hotel properties by reviewing and monitoring the accounting activities, and working with other departments, properties and vendors to resolve outstandingitems;
Managecompletion of month end close operations, preparing daily, weekly and monthly metrics and other ad -hoc reports asrequired;
Prepareand review monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliation with property and corporate accountingteams;
Identify, recommendand implementprocess improvement opportunities to streamline accounting data and processes;
Assist in report evaluation, decisions and results of the department in relation to establishedgoals;
Assist on key projects and initiatives as assigned byDirectors;
Work closely with assigned property personnel to ensure adherence to accounting policies andprocedures;
Maintain and review accounting records and compiling reports from thedatabase;
Exercise discretion and independence in achieving financial accountinggoals;
Manage direct reports by ensuring Associates understandand adhere toemployment practices, recommend employment decisions and corrective action, support performance management, and implementing disciplinein accordance with Atrium's guidelines and Core Values;and
Any and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
What you will need to be considered for this role:
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
2+ years of supervisory experience
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and experience with accounting principlesto include general ledger, bank, accounts payable and balance sheet reconciliations.
Proven experience in analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports or statements.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline or equivalent experience
Proficient knowledge inExceland Microsoft OfficeSuite
