Purpose: Regional Category Managers dive into local nuances, customer satisfaction, and growth within specific regions.

Scope and Dimension:

  • Allocated to 6 Manufacturing Units in the United States/Canada
  • Manage 30M+ indirect spend (assigned categories) growing double digit in revenue YoY
  • Categories covered - Maintenance, Repair, Operations (MRO)
  • May Manage a small number of junior Buyers
  • Part of the Global Procurement Team

Accountabilities:

  • Individual accountabilities
  • All indirect purchasing activities
  • Supply base management
  • Indirect spend - delivery of savings plan
  • Purchase Requisition processing - to create Purchase Orders
  • Supporting Global Procurement in the area of contract management
  • Sourcing - all indirect cases for the plant (following Global Procurement rules)
  • Following Ammega Sourcing Process - Sourcing Committee

Shared Accountabilities

  • Regional support of Global Savings Initiatives that are managed by Global or Regional Category Manager
  • Cashflow improvement initiatives that requires company wide implementation

Key linkages & interfaces / most important stakeholders

  • Operations Site Management
  • HSE, Finance, Legal, R&D organization
  • Global Procurement Team & Local procurement organization

Requirements of Job:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role within global procurement organizations.
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in a relevant field.
  • Specific Category knowledge of packaging, freight, energy, IT, HR, office supplies, capital projects, tail spend, etc.
  • Comfortable in working in matrix environment and in cross functional teams
  • Manufacturing industry and experience in volatile supply markets is desirable
  • Capacity to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines and manage a diverse workload
  • High level of analytical skills including advanced Excel skills, Power BI, etc.
  • Frequent global travel needed to AMMEGA locations and suppliers (25%)
