The Program Manager oversees the NAVAIRU contract managing a geographically dispersed team. The position may be onsite, remote or hybrid depending on the customers' requirements.
Summary:
Oversee training and development initiatives within the Career Planning and Development Division (CPDD) for the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). This crucial role supports teams focused on the acceleration of learning and training, ensuring both short and long-term mission success within NAVAIR. The selected candidate will be responsible for training program, spanning from Command initiatives to skill set assessments, across eight primary sites throughout the United States, reaching a workforce of approximately 30,000 civilians.
The Program Manager acts as the overall lead, manager, and administration for the contracted effort. Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project related issues. Oversees Contractor execution of the contract requirements. Manages acquisition and employment of programs/project resources. Managing daily operations and planning the use of materials and human resources.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field of study. Experience may be substituted for the next high highest degree (e.g. from an associate degree to a bachelor's degree)
  • More than 10 years of program management experience.
  • Security clearance - favorably adjudicated Tier-3
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience planning, directing, or coordinating training and development activities.
  • Experience managing senior level staff.
  • Superior time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
