C2 Technologies, Inc. seeks a Programmer/508 Compliance Tester to support the NAVAIRU contract in Patuxent River, Maryland. The position will include hybrid work based upon the customers' requirements.
Summary
Perform compliance testing (including SCORM and Section 508) on client's LMS. A Programmer/508 Compliance Tester will be involved in testing web-based training, mobile applications and documents.
  • Provide assistance and advice on information and communication technology (ICT) accessibility policies and helps ensure compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act standards for persons with disabilities.
  • Perform complete audits and validation testing on software and documents, based upon Section 508 and/or W3C WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines.
  • Provide testing, remediation, and compliance reports for web-based/multimedia content
  • Provide testing, remediation, and final assessable accessible electronic documents (Word, pdf, Power Point, Excel)
  • Use Assistive Technologies, such as screen reader software (NVDA, JAWS), and Accessibility test tools.
  • Write detailed findings to document identified issues and recommend potential solutions and best practices for remediation of accessibility violations.
Requirements
  • BA/BS or MA/MS degree in a related field of study.
  • 4 - 10 years of experience performing all functional duties independently.
  • Security clearance - favorably adjudicated Tier-3
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to test against, Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2 requirements for IT software and hardware.
  • Familiarity with Federal Government accessibility testing.
  • Knowledge of HTML semantics/tagging, Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA), hyperlink integrity, and remediation of Section 508 accessibility issues.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail for heavy documentation; verbal communication skills for training and development.
  • Experience working effectively with several clients or project teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
